Carrie Rudow

Carrie Sue Rudow (nee Wuenschel), aged 56, passed away on October 10th, 2025. Carrie was born in Fairview, PA to Daniel and Alice (McLaud) Wuenschel. She was the youngest of seven children. She is survived by Greg, Jeff (Nancy), Andy, Jenny (Wuenschel), Mary Beth (Cliff) (O’Meara) and Pete (Ingrid) Wuenschel. ( survived by her mother, Alice Wuenschel aka ‘Gopie’). Carrie graduated from Fairview High School and from Baldwin Wallace University with a bachelor’s degree. Growing up, she loved spending time at the lake, the creek, and with friends. Carrie was always very curious and loved spending time in nature, especially with people she loved. Steve met Carrie in 1991. They married on July 2, 1995 and together raised their two loving daughters Eva and Leah. Carrie was someone who radiated kindness. She consistently looked past imperfections to recognize the best in people. Some of her favorite activities were horseback riding, hiking, baking, and going on many adventures with Steve and the girls. Carrie saw the divine spark within every individual. This recognition extended to non-human beings, especially horses. Carrie had a deep love and passion for them since she was a child. She brought that love to everyone she met, often putting people on horses for the first time or simply letting them pet and give love and affection to her beloved horse, Walley. This led to her specialized training in helping people via equine-assisted therapy and co-founding the organization, Healing with the Horses. Carrie also served as a Subconscious Clearing and Alignment Coach at Mahan Health, helping people shape their reality by shifting deep rooted beliefs and freeing people from anxiety, fear, and other limitations- guiding them to live with peace and purpose. An important part of Carrie’s world was her involvement with the spiritualist community called The Church of the Angels. Carrie was involved in many aspects of this community, always ready to help, always bringing her gentle strength. She created and led meditations, facilitated services, and served on the Board of Directors. Carrie was an expert in intentional living. Everything she did or advocated for was guided by love and light. Her legacy lies in this encouragement to make space for ourselves, and to let the light in. The family will be holding a private graveside funeral. Friends, admirers and those who were touched by Carrie are invited to attend a celebration of life ceremony at Healing with the Horses farm Saturday October 18th from 1-5 pm. Those who are unable to attend on Saturday are invited to join the family at the farm for a short celebration on Friday evening from 5-7pm. Healing with the Horses 12897 Heath Rd.
