Sarah Falb

Sarah Falb, 99, has peacefully entered eternal rest on January 23, 2024 at The Montecito Senior Living Retirement Community in Peoria, AZ surrounded by her loving daughter and caretaker, Cecily (Rick). Born on November 26, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA, Sarah was the daughter of Gussie and Sam Kleinman, Sister to Rose Zanger (Jack), Aunt to Sam Zanger (Donna), and Aunt to Jean Susi (Zanger). She graduated from 5th Ave. High School in PA before moving to Cleveland, OH in 1953. She met Henry Falb and was married in 1954. He was the love of her life and she was a devoted wife for 67 years. Sarah was a beloved mother of Cecily Merdes (Rick), Lynn Feher (Leo), and Stuart Falb (Ann). She was a beloved grandmother of 5 including Laura Hruska (Daniel), Michael Vercellino (Jessica), Andrea Zadd (Nick), Brian Vercellino (Diana), and Jaime Christopher (Adam). Sarah’s great grandchildren include Madison, Zachary, Taylor, Hunter, Sophia, Aaleya, AJ, Bennett, Benjamin, and Jacob Henry. Also grieving and celebrating her life are many loving great nieces and nephews in Israel. Sarah immersed herself in the Jewish community. She was a proud member of B’nai Brith, Hadassah for well over 55 years, long time member of Jewish War Veterans, and Hebrew Benevolent Association. She was also a member of Taylor Road and Green Road Synagogues. Sarah was an avid reader. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, especially on cruise ships. Garage sales were one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed bingo and the occasional trip to the local casinos. Sarah was a dear friend to many and enjoyed helping others less fortunate than her. She will be deeply missed. Funeral is at 1 pm on Sunday, January 28th at Cleveland Jewish Funerals/ Shapiro Funeral Care located at 26801 Miles Rd, Orange Village, OH. Internment immediately following at Mt. Olive. Family and friends will be received at the Party Room at Acacia on the Green located at 2112 Acacia Park Drive in Lyndhurst, OH immediately following. Shiva will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Zadd Residence, 267 Legacy Drive, Highland Heights, OH 44143.
